Self Expressed

This is our final project. Which is Self Expressed.

I've picked ZongQi, my classmate from China, as my model of this project.

He got a very impressive hair style and somehow it makes me think of chef.

And in real life, he is a really good chef too.

This is a very interesting project. You can turn your friend into something that they've never think about!
And I kind of like Liz's project.

I tried a new way of coloring, and I love making it more details.

The typo part really suffer me a lot, because I'm so not good at typo design.

Finally I've finished! Quite nice though :D

Weekly Assignment

Runny the first stop motion

This is a group assignment for Discourse Lesson.

The group members including me, Liz and Yap.

At the very first time we decided to do a man run a way from the "KELUAR" signboard.

That's why our group name is "Runny".

Considering the time and the skills, we finally gave up this idea. 

And then we decided to draw on a paper.

We didn't have any sketches or idea what the story would be.

Just improvising.

The branches thing was Liz's idea. And it's very good and funny.

This is my first stop motion. 

Although the light and the position is not so good at all, but I really like the result.

And the music, come from Angry Birds. :D

Walk Cycle

This is my walk cycle. The character's name is Danny :D (Named by Mr. Ayie XD)

Really really have to thanks Mr. Ayie for teaching me so many skills about animation.

I learnt a lot.

Is very stress actually but when seeing my own character walking, everything's worth.

Animation class become more and more interesting after he started to teach us.

Bouncing Ball with a Tail

This is the second time I do bouncing ball.
And this time I've learnt and understand the 12 principles.
So the bouncing ball should be better than the last semester's.

Tail is the hardest part. Really thanks the lecturer for teaching me the skill.

Typography Conference

The name of my conference is "Repose En Paix". It's a french word. It means rest in peace in english.

Have you ever go to a graveyard, day or night, to feel the atmosphere?
Calm, peace, quiet...

Actually there's a lot of elements that could be used in design like the carving or the design of the gravestone.

This time I try a different style of coloring. It feels like you are carving something, very interesting.

 

And I've made 5 promotional items for this conference.

First, it's a fun gift.

 This is a 3 layers small card.

Each layer will presents different things when you open it.

And you can also split it into three pieces, use them as bookmarks.

And the last item is key-chain.

Weekly Assignment 2

I missed the morning briefing, so I didn't know what is this call for... dot dot? XD

I chose this picture from internet, and started to do this after Mr.Kent showed me the way.

Kind of fun you know... I really like the progress and I tried to make a bigger picture with smaller dots but after looking the dots for over 10 seconds I felt like vomiting... So I gave up XD.

This is the second one before I tried to make the bigger one.

Weekly Assignment 1: Typography

Sem two first post!

Here comes the weekly assignment again!

And this time is Typography.

The theme of my design is Natural (Not sure). I try to use moutain, cliff, water, trees to shape my typo.

Did some sketches, is Dion and Tuno. Both of them are my names.

I use Unipin 0.1 0.2 0.3 and Artline 0.2 and some Gel pen to finish the inkling.

Weekly Assignment- Week 2: Meditation



Meditation
『Meditation is a bridge to time travel, a link to our past life. Clear your mind, and you'll fall into the world that you've never seen before.』


This idea also came out at the last minute, and I finished the painting during my graphic design lesson :D
I was listening to Loreena's music- Prologue when I came out with this idea.
Background music really helps =)

Weekly Assignment- Week 1: Evolution

Evolution
『Evolution is based on slaughter. Only the strongest survive, and reproduce.』


A man sitting on a hill's of skeletons and bones, eating his booty (his enemy's heart, I think)
I kind of like this piece. The idea came out at the last minute.
I do have other ideas but I think this is the best.
Done by pencil.

Animation 1: Chopper

First complete animation in my life!

Yeah this is the story about my lovely character-Chopper

The name on the tomb is "HOOD"

It's his original name, gave by his mother

But since he liked chopping so much, so he decided to call himself

'The Chopper'

This animation is more based on the story but not the movement of the character

The background music is composed by Laura Shigihara from the famous game

'Plants V.S. Zombies'

(This story was inspired by the music)

And all the sound effects come from Flash.

Finally I finished my project 2 !

But I don't really like those colours...

Here's the final addition of my project.
The theme of my project is "One balloon One Dream"

Every one (although some of them are not human) has a balloon in their hands.
Each balloon represents a dream.
Some of them want to be free, some of them want peace, some of them want to be a gorgeous female....etc.
[There are people, there are animals, there are monsters. ]
[They are different.]
[But they dream.]

The man was actually already dead,he just kept walking like when he was alive.

His dog was too loyal that when the man knew that he's going to leave this world,

the dog still following him.And even stay with him when he dissappeared.
